The Issues

Dicken Woods is a special place, worthy of being saved as a natural area. Located adjacent to the highest point in Ann Arbor and within the headwaters of Allen's Creek, it is 10 acres of woodlands, wetlands, and slopes, home to diverse wildlife.

The Friends of Dicken Woods are working, first, to prevent the installation of a proposed large-building townhouse development on Dicken Woods, and second, on plans to help save Dicken Woods as a natural area. Below are some of the main issues in this effort.
