Subject: [fdw-all] Dicken Woods Featured in Fall 2006 NAP Newsletter and Other News

The Fall 2006 Natural Area Preservation (NAP) newsletter, available at the city website location shown below, has a very nice feature article on Dicken Woods (and Friends of Dicken Woods). Check it out!!

Also, the fall weekly workdays (2-4 pm every Sunday at the end of Dicken Dr.) will resume this Sunday (8/13) and will continue until further notice. This week, bring hand tools (loppers, clippers, hedge shears, gloves) to clear brush along the trails and entrances (and your Deep Woods OFF) - we'll also get that branch overhanging the west trail loop. These social events are a good chance to visit with your neighbors, see the woods yourself, and help spruce up the woods for all to enjoy.
